Help for women in need: Soroptimists support new apartments in the Waldviertel
The Soroptimist Club Waldviertel-Schrems has long been committed to girl and women's advice in the region. Especially in the past, the club regularly provided financial support for the women's emergency apartment in Gmünd to help women in emergencies. This type of support is essential for many women affected by violence.
A current project by the Waldviertel women's advice, which has been challenged for some time, has now taken shape in cooperation with the state of Lower Austria. In the past few months, three new apartments especially for women who are victims of violence or are in threats have been set up. These apartments were initiated promptly by affected women, often together with their children. This illustrates the unbroken need for such offers.
donation for sustainable support
The Soroptimist Club Waldviertel-Schrems, under the direction of Eva Meindl, has again set a sign of solidarity in this context. A generous donation of 1,000 euros as well as numerous donations required were handed over to the women's counseling staff, Heidemarie Zauner and Ingrid Ratheiser. This support is of great importance to continue to maintain the fresh spatial offers.
The team of women's counseling thanked you warmly for this support. It is repeatedly emphasized that projects like this could be difficult to implement without the willingness of the associations, companies and private individuals.
If you are also interested in supporting women's advice, the doors are open. Under the email address office@fbwv.at or by phone at 02822/52271 you can get more information and become part of this important initiative.
