Rohbach and St. Veit: A horror autumn with bitter consequences

The first months of the season were for SG Rohrbach/St. Veit anything but gratifying. The team had to make friends with a dark result, which in the football world can only be referred to as a "horror balance". With the end of the first half series, the Gölzetalers are at the bottom of the table, without a single win in the distance.

The results speak for themselves: only at two home games the team could score. The team was unable to score even one goal away. In six games, only three goals score throughout the autumn season. That was simply not enough to draw even a spark of hope for a turn in the season.

painful consequences

statements by the players illustrate the serious situation: coach David Kraft described the performance as "underground" and Dominik Krautgartner spoke of a performance that was "far below expectations". It was a clear indication that the team could not begin to achieve the goals set. In the middle of these bad results, the dissatisfaction led to a drastic decision for both the players and the coaching team.

After the last appearance in Retz, the coaching duo announced its resignation. The step was necessary to make room for new impulses that the team could lead from the current misery. The resignation marks a turning point in the season and could possibly bring the turn that the followers of Rohrbach/St. Veit so much wish.

A ray of hope in this difficult autumn was the game against the Winter King and Supercup winner Korneuburg, where the team was able to score on their own. However, these small successes could not hide the weak overall performance and unfortunately remained the only positive moments in this first half of the season.

The coming months will be crucial to see how the team changes, now that a new management structure could possibly bring a breath of fresh air. Fans and experts look forward to developments and hope that the SG Rohrbach/St. Veit takes the right steps in order to give a completely different picture in the second half of the season and not to leave the league sang and soundlessly.
