Glückstern-Aktion: Support for families in need in Aigen-Schlägl

Aigen-Schlägl. In the festive pre-Christmas period, readers of the tips have the opportunity to support people with the happiness campaign who are financially difficult. This initiative aims to enable families in need of Christmas gifts by acting as a partner. The gifts are distributed in the Red Cross markets to give those affected a joy.

The causes of poverty can be diverse and often hits unexpectedly. Beaks of fate, illnesses or job losses are just a few of the reasons that people can bring in need. Especially in the Christmas season, many families ask themselves the pressing question of how to make their children gifts or prepare festive meals while the prices for staple and rents are increasing at the same time.

Help through the Red Cross

To offer support here, gifts in the form of 30-euro value vouchers will be issued from December 17th to 24th. Every TIPS reader can participate by providing a donation for the happiness. The aim is to enable as many families as possible to find a little something that brings them hope and joy.

An important part of the happiness campaign is the Red Cross market in Aigen-Schlägl, which has existed for ten years and is operated by the commitment of employees, donors and trading partners. This market is not only a shopping location, but also a meeting point for people who want to experience solidarity. Almost 2,800 purchases were made there last year - a sign of the great need for support.

Karin Mandl, the market manager, is convinced that the sense of community blooms, especially when you help each other. "When we are there for each other, life will be better for everyone," she emphasizes. With a donation, everyone can give a piece of hope and joy, that is the concern of this initiative.

In addition, Wilbirg Mitterlehner, the district manager of the Red Cross, comments on the challenges in the Rohrbach district. She finds that the market offers important help for people in difficult life situations, especially for women and children. This social institution should not only be a place of purchasing, but also a contact point where help and support are provided. "Do not be afraid to use this offer," says Mitterlehner all those affected.
