Advent joy in Niederwaldkirchen: events every Sunday

In the heart of Niederwaldkirchen, this year's Advent season will be enriched by a colorful attraction. The traditional Christmas market in the community is complemented by the introduction of a new nativity scene, which features two special residents: an ox and a donkey. These two animals add extra liveliness to the Christmas story and are particularly enjoyable for children, who are often attracted by the impressive statues and atmospheric ambience.

Every Sunday during Advent, starting on December 1st, atmospheric events are held on the market square. It starts with the local hunters, together with the Florian Hunting Horn Players and the Niederwaldkirchen Men's Choir, who want to give visitors a pre-Christmas feeling with festive sounds.

Advent season events

Advent Sundays offer various program items that strengthen the sense of community. Residents are invited to attend every Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The children also have the opportunity to decorate the tree in front of the nativity scene with self-made Christmas decorations, which provides a lot of joy and creativity. Each child receives a small surprise as a thank you.

This week the festival continues with a Christmas market around the rectory on December 8th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Here visitors can expect a variety of stalls offering various Christmas treats and crafts. It's a wonderful opportunity to get gifts or simply enjoy the festive atmosphere.

The other events during Advent are also well-filled and promise a wonderful time for the entire community. On December 15th, the kindergarten will put on a play and sing Christmas carols. The elementary school children will show off their musical talents on December 22nd and thus bid a fitting farewell to the Advent season.

Especially on the first Sunday of Advent, visitors can experience the singing of the hunting horn players and the men's choir, which is wonderfully rounded off by the cozy culinary offerings of punch and mulled cider. Whether outdoors when the weather is nice or in the asphalt hall when the weather is bad, the Christmas magic will definitely be noticeable.

These events are not only worth attending, they also promote togetherness in the community. Advent is not only perceived as a time to wait for Christmas, but also as an opportunity to strengthen the community.
