Bundschuh 27: Stories and sounds from the Inn and Hausruckviertel

On November 5, the 27th edition of the "Bundschuh" collection edition will be presented in the Sparkassen-Stadttsaal. From 7 p.m., visitors can look forward to an exciting collection of stories from the Inn and Hausruckviertel. This new edition will also be available from the same day.

28 interesting contributions are gathered in the current collection, which are presented by Rosemarie Mengaßner. Bernhard Hofstötter with his sounds takes care of the background music. The content of the stories is as diverse as the region itself: in addition to legends, such as the legendary Remoneuberg, there are also scientific topics, such as forest pasture in the Sauwald or the fruit of native plants. The authors, including well -known personalities such as Michael Hohla and Alfred Frauscher, dealt with a wide range of topics in their work.

fascinating insights into history

The first pages allow a look at the historical development of the location "Pramet". Martin Prieschl examines the very first entries in German documents. The authors Nina Kunze, Maximilian and Mario Puhane deal with the digitization of the former castle chapel in Schärding and the rediscovered Schärdinger Bürgerbuchung.

Hermann Vinzenz reports on an episode of the farmers' market from 1597, which is connected to the Church in Ried. The Christophorus illustrations are also considered. Hermine Hofstötter has dealt intensively with the Lautenbuch from the archive of Aurolzmünster Castle. In particular, the Heiligen frescoes of the old collegiate church of Augustinian canons in Ranshofen are discussed by Hans-Jörg Elsner.

Other authors are devoted to the old buildings and their renovation. Wolfgang Danninger describes the forest pasture economy in the Sauwald, while Leopold Heinrich Ammerer illuminates the settlement history of the Gassenweiler Tiefenbach.

Medical topographies of the Innviertel has researched Eva Hezinger-Weiser in archives and made amazing discoveries. Ernst Reischauer takes a close look at the development of everyday cycling in the Innviertel and shows the change in leisure activities.

A special homage is dedicated to agronomic Georg Wieninger, whose life story is illuminated by Matthias Huber on the 100th anniversary of the death. Klaus Petermayr publishes a previously unknown letter from composer Anton Bruckner, who is dedicated to his 200th birthday.

The legendary Remoneuberg is also a topic in this issue, treated by Manfred and Tamara Rachbauer. Josef Ruhland analyzes death pictures that the last business cards reflect the social currents. Agnes Hofinger reports on the war experiences of the miller Josef Hofinger from Altschwend.

Christoph Hardt tells the bizarre story of the “Caesar Salad”, which has its origin in Braunau and illuminates an amazing fraud in Mexico. And for theater lovers, Martin Mayer summarizes the play "Fall Hamminger", which was performed with great success in 2023.

In addition, Judith Estermann gives an insight into the gendarmerie cloaks for a long time, while Alfred Pixner is reminiscent of the 1926 rescue conference in Ried. In another post, Franz Mengassner illuminates the life of the miners in the eastern house cross -area and Marianne Hofmann describes the history of the Hofmann brewery in Aspach.

Herbert Leibinger addresses the important painter Engelbert Daringer, who rose from the craftsman to a sought -after church painter, and Alfred Frauscher describes the camps in Ried after the Second World War, including the "Displaced Personal" and the prisoner of war. Gerald Held and Gerold Falch look back on 50 years of 13-march and the music in the Rieder garrison, while Michael Hohla is devoting herself to the Stumpfblatt-Abste, a remarkable plant with many folk names.

In this way, the new edition of the "Bundschuh" brings numerous multifaceted stories to light, which reflect both the historical and the cultural wealth of the region. From November 5, the book will be available in stores and offers everyone interested the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the Inn and Hausruckviertel.
