Altheim. Advent has entered Altheim and brings numerous festive events. Special highlights are local traditions that not only give the community joy, but also enrich the pre -Christmas period.

One of the best -known events is the sausage Sunday, which takes place on December 1st. The popular Austrian court will be served in the Rudolf Wimmer-Halle from 10 a.m. Not only sausages, but also coffee, cake and homemade cookies are on the menu. This tradition, which has existed for almost 200 years, is worn by the gold hood and headscarf group and inspires numerous visitors every year.

Special pre -Christmas activities

In addition, the motor veteran club (MVC) Altheim opens its doors on three evenings. On December 4th, 11th and 18th, they invite you to a mulled wine stand in the classic car garage from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Here guests can not only enjoy culinary delights, but also support a good cause because part of the proceeds are donated.

The Christkindlmarkt takes place from 6. 6 to December 8, which comes up with a varied supporting program. Visitors can look forward to handicrafts, visiting the Santa Claus and an atmospheric torchlight procession. The Blackburn People’s Choir from England, which brings Christmas sounds into town, ensures musical framework. The net proceeds from this event go to the MS Regional Club Innviertel.

Another Christmas market will take place on December 15 from 2 p.m. at the host in Stern. Here guests can expect a similar offer with culinary treats and handmade works of art that invite you to browse.

Altheimer Packerl Roas

A very special highlight in Advent is the Altheim Packerl Roas, which will be carried out from December 1st to 24th. Each business takes part in a defined day with a surprise for a customer, which makes shopping an exciting experience. The shops that participate in this action are marked with red packers so that visitors can easily recognize the special offers.
