New hope for cancer patients: Bettina Sennewald heads the Schärding Cancer Aid
SCHÄRDING.In Schärding there is a change at the top of the cancer aid advice center: Bettina Sennewald is taking over the helm from the long-standing head Doris Jobst. Jobst was a familiar and committed face of the organization and helped people in difficult times for many years.
Around 7,000 people in Upper Austria are diagnosed with cancer every year. This diagnosis often brings with it fears and insecurities that place those affected and their relatives in a challenging life situation. In these moments, support from the cancer charity, which supports people in such crises, becomes particularly important.
On-site support
Bettina Sennewald has been the new cancer aid advisor in Schärding since September. The consultations take place in the FIM Family and Social Center Schärding, where the premises are kindly made available. Sennewald brings a lot of experience in finance and work psychology. Its goal is to accompany and support oncological patients and their relatives. "These people are in a new, difficult and frightening situation, and I would like to accompany them part of their journey in order to offer some security in a turbulent time. That is what drives me to get involved in cancer support," says Sennewald, particularly appreciating the low-threshold advice offered.
Doris Jobst decided on a new path for professional reasons and handed over the management with a feeling of satisfaction and the knowledge that the cancer aid in Schärding still has someone available who takes the needs of those affected seriously. However, it remains to be emphasized that the work of the cancer charity relies almost exclusively on donations in order to be able to offer people help during this difficult time. As reported by www.tips.at, the cancer aid in Schärding is ready to continue its important work and continue to be a place of trust.
