First flight from Linz to Frankfurt: New travel connection opened

The Linz Airport celebrates a significant innovation: On October 28, the first flight from Linz to Frankfurt took place. The domestic airline Austrian Airlines takes over this important route and once again connects Upper Austria with one of the largest air traffic crossings in the world. Norbert Draskovits, Managing Director of Linz Airport, was pleased with the revenue: "We are very pleased that Upper Austria is back with Frankfurt and that we were able to win Austrian Airlines for it."

The route is operated three times a day and enables passengers to use a variety of international connection connections from Linz. This is particularly relevant because business travel traffic has not yet reached the pre -crisis level. Draskovits explained that the high frequency of the connection together with a smaller aircraft type, the ATR 72-600, corresponds to the ideal choice.
