Autumn magic in Schlüßlberg: 60 hikers conquer the Weinberg circuit

The third community hiking day recently took place in the picturesque community of Schlüßlberg, under the motto “Fit, join in”. Around 60 enthusiastic hikers set out in brilliant autumn weather to explore the well-known Weinberg circuit. The event not only offered the perfect opportunity to enjoy the surroundings, but also to actively do something for your own health.

It started at the market square, where the participants gathered to begin the hike. The Weinberg Circuit is one of the shorter of the six available hiking routes in the region. This route led through the Hermann-Erdpresser settlement, to the Hausruckbau company and past the Schachermayergut before going up to the vineyard. The return route took the hikers via the Alte Rosenau back to the starting point. This route is particularly popular because it offers both scenic beauty and a moderate challenge.

Refreshment after the hike

After the participants had successfully completed the route, a well-deserved reward was waiting at the market square. The settlers' association had diligently prepared storms and snacks to feed the hungry hikers. This community gathering after the hike not only promoted exchange among the participants, but also created a pleasant atmosphere.

Hubert Zechmeister, chairman of the Committee for Youth, Sport, Social Affairs, Families and Seniors, and Mayor Klaus Höllerl expressed their thanks to all participants and helpers. Both are already looking forward to the next edition of the hiking day, which will certainly provide another opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Schlüßlberg's nature and at the same time strengthen the community.
