First wake -up call of the new carnival guild Eferding: a festival for everyone!

On November 16, a new milestone was set in Eferding when the newly founded carnival guild celebrated its first official wake -up call. On this special occasion, the prince couple, Melanie and Manuel Neumar, were ceremoniously praised, which underlined the anticipation and enthusiasm of the guild for the upcoming carnival season.

The background of the foundation of this guild is remarkable. Elisabeth Lef, the president of the newly formed carnival community, said that due to insurmountable differences within the previous community, the jugglers, the jugglers had occurred. "The joy that you should feel in a carnival club was no longer available," said Lef. Thereupon a concept was quickly developed, which included a new guard and creative costumes.

goals and values of the new guild

A central motivation of this guild is to preserve the traditions associated with the carnival. Lef emphasizes that youth work and strengthening the garden are in the foreground. "Youth is our future," she said. Effectiveness and importance of the carnival are understood as a way to consider serious topics with a touch of humor and at the same time bring people from different generations and cultures together. "This customs should not be lost," she added.

The guild currently has around 70 members, with the age of the parties of 5 to 55 years. The guild offers numerous opportunities for interested parties to get involved, be it in a wide variety of areas, from the guard to the planning of events to participation in carnival parades. "Our main goal is to have fun and bring people together," mentioned Lef.

The guild meets regularly, whereby the frequency of the meetings is currently still being determined. As a rule, the guards rehearse once a week in the Krechaft Center. State tables and planning meetings are also planned in the organization to offer the members a platform for active participation.

An important aspect of the guild is financing. The association currently receives support from sponsors and plans to generate their own income through events. The start -up capital from the previous community is also used to strengthen the new club and finance the necessary costumes.

Events are already planned for 2025, including the Ela Gschnas on February 7th in the Bräuhaus Eferding. Tickets will be available from January 7th. In addition, the guild will actively participate in various carnival events, including the children's carnival in the Bräuhaus, and represent the Eferdinger Land on various removals.
