Shock in St. Martin: 23-year-old overturned!
On the night of December 24th, a spectacular traffic accident occurred in the idyllic Salzburger St. Martin near Lofer. A 23-year-old man who lost control of his vehicle due to winter road conditions overturned his car on the Pinzgau federal road. Fortunately, the driver and his three passengers were unharmed and were able to free themselves from the car, such as 5min.at reported. In the case of an alkomatt test carried out, however, it turned out that the driver was clearly alcoholic, with a value of over 1.6 per thousand. As a result, the driver's license was removed immediately and it is displayed.
Another incident in the Freistadt district shows that the police are actively acting against alcoholic driving in June. A 51-year-old e-scooter driver was stopped in Pregarten on June 5 after driving to snake lines. His alcovort test resulted in a frightening alcohol number of 1.8. Even with a 19-year-old Czech driver, who was controlled in Grünbach near Freistadt on June 3, an impairment by addictive substances was found, with both the urine test and the clinical examination positive. He was also prohibited from continuing and the driver's license was temporarily accepted, such as meinzirk.at
These incidents illustrate the need for traffic controls and show that the authorities are resolutely against alcoholic or otherwise impaired drivers. The risks of driving under influence should not be underestimated and urgently need to be discussed.
