Drama on the ski slope: 50-year-old fights for life after a serious accident!

Reiteralm, Österreich - A dramatic skiing accident occurred on February 8, 2025, around 10:45 a.m., on the popular slope 3 of the Reiteralm in the district of Liezen. A 50-year-old man from the Freistadt district came off the slopes for still unclear reasons and jumped more than 20 meters onto a lift route. There he collided with a 17-year-old skier from the Schärding district, which was just on the way with the drag lift, such as the Kleine Zeitung reported.

In the collision, both skiers slid down the snow -covered lift route about 70 meters. The 17-year-old suffered slight injuries in the nose area and was able to be released home after outpatient treatment in the DKH Schladming. However, the accident had serious consequences for the 50-year-old: he suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be reanimated on site.
