Court Ried: Delivered application against the accused because of Hitler's wreath
A remarkable incident at the regional court in Ried causes a stir: The accused, a then 57-year-old Berliner, did not appear again on his re-operating process. For this reason, the authorities plan to apply for a delivery application to Germany.
The man is accused of having put a wreath in April 2021 in front of Adolf Hitler's birthplace in Braunau. His lawyer justified the lack of the accused during the court hearing with professional obligations that would make an arrival to Austria impossible.
renewed adjoining and consequences
There is already a history, since the court hearing has been postponed this year because the accused had not appeared. The judge was dissatisfied with the constantly recurring absences and threatened to take measures to bring the accused to court. An application for delivery would mean that the accused will be detained in Germany until a new date for the negotiation is determined in Austria.
The indictment stated that the accused at the window board of the birthplace Hitler made a wreath with the inscription "Rip USA", whereby "USA" should stand for "our blessed Adolf". This incident fell during a time when filming for the documentary "Who is afraid of Braunau" took place in Braunau, in which the accused also appeared. According to reports, he confessed in the film his veneration for Hitler.
The impression that these events leave raises questions about the consequences that the accused may now have to bear, the delivery application should actually be implemented. The court emphasizes that one would not be fooled by repeated absences and take measures to advance the legal proceedings.
