Initiative for children: Your ideas shape the church of tomorrow!

The Catholic Young Charm of Austria is committed to the active participation of children in church life with a new initiative. Under the motto "Design church: children in the middle!" If it is to be made possible for children to better bring their needs into the community and to feel the integral members of the parish. Veronika Schippani-Stockinger, the Federal Chairman of the Jungschar, emphasizes: "Children are the present and future of the church. It is crucial to give them space for participation and listen to them."

The goal of this initiative is to promote a child -friendly church and to give the communities ideas on how they can actively involve children into parish life. The young group provides a material package that helps the parish to develop child -friendly structures and to initiate processes. An essential part of these measures is a survey among children that enables their opinions and wishes to be experienced directly.
