Celebration for the 20th anniversary of New Design University in St. Pölten

On Friday, New Design University (NDU) celebrated an important anniversary in St. Pölten: 20 years of successful contribution to the university landscape in Austria. Numerous guests were present at the celebration, including students, teachers and prominent politicians such as Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner. This celebration was a real festival that was under the motto "We have been shaping the world for 20 years. A reason to celebrate colorful".

The Governor paid homage to the NDU as a "lighthouse project" and emphasized that innovative ideas are developed and valuable knowledge is transferred directly to the economy. Her words made it clear that investments in research and science are crucial to promote innovation and to secure economic growth. In order to support this goal, the state also promotes the research project "Design Network Lower Austria", which networked companies from the design industry with interested companies.

Development and importance of the NDU

WKNÖ President Wolfgang Ecker underlined the role of the NDU as a pioneer in the non-state university area, which was launched 20 years ago. "We are relying on education," he said, emphasizing that well -trained employees are essential today. Every year talented young people leave the university who not only benefit the region, but also the international community.

rector Herbert Grüner looked back on the past two decades and proudly mentioned the 2600 students who have shaped his university. He announced that the NDU will continue to adhere to the development of innovative study programs that focus on design and design. In addition, he emphasized the importance of personal care by teachers in the workshops, which is one of the strengths of the NDU.

In his speech, Grüner also focused on future challenges. In particular, the uncertainty and fears of the following generations have to be reduced, which must be done through the imparting of basic values and attitudes.

Not only the speakers contributed to the celebration, but also musical performances that provided a festive atmosphere. Pianist Bonaventura Amann framed the event with his sounds. Graduates of the NDU, Vice Mayor Harald Ludwig and University Council chairman Theresa Ludwiger-List also had their say and gave insights into the future of the university.

New Design University has developed into an important part of the science axis in Lower Austria in the past two decades, which from Krems to WR. Neustadt is enough. The pictures drawn by this celebration are characterized by both pride and a clear view of the future, in which the NDU will continue to play a central role in the education sector.

This anniversary celebration was not only a review of past services, but also a look into the future, in which New Design University will continue to play a key role in the training of creative minds that can master the challenges of tomorrow.
