Parking in Neunkirchen: Tips and new mobile solutions for drivers
In the district of Neunkirchen there are numerous parking facilities that meet the needs of drivers. According to the figures from December 2023, a total of 1700 parking spaces for cars are available here, supplemented by 900 bicycle parking spaces and 20 Park and Ride locations. This variety makes it easy to find a suitable parking space even in busy times.
A remarkable progress in parking is the introduction of the “Easypark” cell phone app on June 1, 2022. The department inspector of Neunkirchen, Thomas Proy, reported that about 30 percent of drivers in the district actively use this app. The functionality is simple: the app recognizes where you park and offers the opportunity to set the parking time quickly and comfortably. Users also receive information in good time when their parking time will work.
parking fees at an overview
Parking in Neunkirchen takes place at moderate prices. Half an hour of parking time costs 60 cents, and as a bonus you get an additional half an hour free of charge. The use of the "Easypark" cell phone app is a bit more expensive because 70 cents are calculated for the same time, but here too the first half hour is free.
A special regulation applies to the parking lot at the Landesklinikum Neunkirchen: Here you can park the first half hour without having to pay for it. A fee of 50 cents is incurred for each additional hour. If you plan to use the parking lot for 24 hours, you have to expect a fee of 5 euros.
Parking: a challenge
An important topic that often leads to difficulties when parking is parking itself. Victoria Gräf, an experienced driving school teacher at "Easy Drivers", commented on the challenges that her learner drivers have with them. "Especially at the beginning, it is difficult to learn the right technique of parking," she explains. Many students have difficulty assessing the dimensions of their vehicle and the size of the parking lot, which often leads to frustration.
The improvement in driving knowledge is a central goal of the driving school, especially at a time when the digital world increasingly dominates everyday life. Martin Zarazik, owner of Easy Drivers, confirms this: "Today's learner drivers often do not have the opportunity to practice parking in real traffic, since the exercise situations on the exercise sites often do not meet reality." In order to counter this challenge, the driving school relies on intensive training to develop the learners the necessary skills for driving and parking.
