Lower Austria's export winner: innovative strength in international trade

These awards are characterized by appreciation for the outstanding services of Lower Austrian companies in the export area. Governor Mikl-Leitner emphasized the essential role of export for the country's economy. "Export is our growth engine. Every second euro that our entrepreneurs generate is related to export. Every fifth workplace in Lower Austria is secured directly or indirectly by the export business," she said. In order to improve the competitiveness of the domestic export industry, she called for measures to reduce bureaucracy and energy costs, as well as an expansion of trade relationships.

The award winners at a glance

A total of around 50 submissions for the Lower Austrian Export Prize, and the jury had to make a difficult selection. In the "Smaller Companies" category, VWMS GmbH, based in Zwerderorf, was awarded, which specializes in the automatic monitoring of microbiological water quality. FWT Composites & Rolls GmbH from Neunkirchen, known for their products that support machine manufacturers, achieved first place for “medium -sized companies”.

In the "New exporters" category, Agrobiogel GmbH wins, which offers a biological water storage granulate in order to counteract the negative effects of dry periods. Neuman Aluminium Fließpresswerk GmbH from Marktl near Lilienfeld, which is particularly active in the automotive industry, secured the title "Large Company".

The winners of the "Service Exporters" category are particularly worth mentioning: Camcat-Systems GmbH from Rekawinkel and Eyyes GmbH from Gedersdorf. Camcat has made a name for itself with innovative camera cable cars that are used at major international events. Eyyes GmbH specializes in driving assistance systems and achieves an impressive export quota of 98 percent.
