Neunkirchen in change: Osztovics as a promising mayor candidate

In a significant political turn, Klaudia Osztovics, a lawyer and two -time mother, received the nomination as a candidate for mayor on Thursday evening. This happened unanimously by the party executive after the outgoing mayor Herbert Osterbauer had proposed her. "She has the heart in the right place and, I think, will continue my way," says Osterbauer, who even gives her the potential of a "city mother".

The Osztovics, who is currently working as the deputy head of the Eisenstadt judiciary in 2020, sees her roots strongly anchored in Neunkirchen. "I am a native church through and through," she explains and emphasizes the importance of the city for her life. She would like to use her commitment as mayor to actively work for her home community.

an unexpected challenge

The decision for the candidacy came as a surprise to Osztovics. "Herbert Osterbauer only came up to me in the previous week; that was not foreseeable to all of us," she describes the developments. This represents a great change in Neunkirchner politics, since Osterbauer is considered a "great personality" that will leave the political scene.

Osztovics plans to speak to various parties before their official election on November 4th. "I like to communicate with everyone. People come together through conversations," she emphasizes. This shows their will for cooperation and the intention of building bridges.
