New medical and health center in Weitra ensures local care

The W4Med OG, which was originally led by the Weitra doctor Khalid Jadalla and the nursing director Jürgen Friedl, has stopped operating for organizational reasons. In a pleasant turn, however, the existing health care in the region is ensured. The Raiffeisenbank Oberes Waldviertel and the municipality of Weitra have created a cooperation and will jointly operate a new “medical and health center”.

This collaboration is no coincidence. Mayor Patrick Layr and Dietmar Stütz, the managing director of Raiffeisenbank, explained that there were numerous discussions that now led to this solution. "We share the use of space and take care of cleaning, advertising and administrative tasks together," emphasize the two. A central goal of this cooperation is to continue to keep basic medical care in the Lainitztal region at a high level.

The move to the new medical and health center seems to be smooth. A doctor who has already looked after many patients is the orthopedist Stefan Karner, who was present together with Gynecologists Klaus Kolm. According to their statements, nothing changes for the patients; They can continue to be treated in Weitra at the usual opening times. Therapists who are already rented in the Raiba building will continue to offer their services. These include psychotherapist Ulrike Merkler-Rossmann and the physiotherapists Christoph Renner, Nadine Thaler, Bettina Trinkenkfass and kinesiologist Silvia Weninger.

The decision to continue the medical services is important for the region. "By providing the premises and close cooperation, we ensure high -quality health care for the population," says Dietmar Stütz. The mayor emphasizes that despite the great effort this cooperation requires, an important part of the infrastructure is strengthened for citizens. In Weitra, public health care is above average, and this step ensures that the level will continue to be kept in the future.

The background of these developments are complex; It turns out that the region is determined to maintain its health services despite challenges. This could have positive effects on the quality of life of the residents in the long term. Further information on the new structure of the health center can be found on www.noen.at are read.
