Successful conclusion: eight communities strengthen their knowledge of communication

In an inspiring event for municipal communication, eight municipalities received documents after they have successfully completed the "Municipal Communication" course of the Academy of Culture. Region. This course, which took place for the third time, gave the participants extensive knowledge of the necessary communication in order to work effectively in their communities.

Especially in times when information transfer is decisive, communication plays a central role in community life. The participants had gone through a variety of modules that gave them useful skills and knowledge to optimize communication in both traditional and modern forms.

communities show commitment to communication

The newly awarded communities include Nußdorf ob der Traisen, Weissenbach, Kirchberg am Change, and the municipality of Wolkersdorf. In addition, the market town of Neudorf, the municipality of Neulengbach, the market town of Purgstall and the municipality of Ybbs on the Danube received certificates after they had made up for earlier modules.

The handover of the documents was carried out by Martin Lammerhuber, the managing director of Kultur.Region.niederösterreich, and the course manager Wolfgang Gramann. Lammerhuber emphasized the importance of communication: "It is essential that citizens know what is going on in their community." Information about different channels is no longer just a limitation to the spoken word, but also includes websites and social media.

Through the training, participants have gained access to valuable strategies that help you to successfully design and optimize communication within your communities.

experts from the media industry as teachers

A total of thirty experts from the fields of media and marketing took part in the ten modules. Among them were well-known personalities such as the editor-in-chief of the Kurier, Martin Gebhart, and ORF editor-in-chief Werner Fetz. These specialists passed on their experiences and tips so that graduates could benefit from a wide range of knowledge.

The thematic diversity included the use of social media, dealing with the community newspaper and classic public relations. These findings are essential for the municipalities, because the way in which information is distributed influences their perception in public.
