Dialect poetry and memories: An evening in honor of Hubert Schnabl
A remarkable book presentation recently took place in the Melker city library, in which the poems of the late theologian and teacher Hubert Schnabl were presented. Elisabeth Schnabl, a close member of the deceased, had the honor to present the booklet "Nuo Oas Zöt im Lem" and excited the interest of those present with emotional insights into the word art of their relatives.
The event attracted around 70 friends and companions who listened intently when a selection of the dialect texts of the Schnabl, who died last year was read out. Publisher Richard Pils from the "Library of the Province" was pleased with the positive echo of the audience. The musical accompaniment was particularly well received by Thomas Fellner, who provided the right mood with his guitar.
insight into Schnabl's life
Christian Köck contributed to the atmosphere of the event with anecdotes from the life of the new published publication and enabled the guests to take a personal look at the late Hubert Schnabl. The mayor of Melk, Patrick Strobl, was also present and was happy about the good visit to the city library. The lively interest and the positive feedback from those present indicated that Schnabl's works have left a lasting impression.
The event not only represented a food for thought about the importance of literature and memory, but also promoted the sense of community among those present. The commitment of the city library to organize such cultural events is highly valued by the municipality and strengthens local identity.
