In the Melk Abbey, an important meeting recently took place, in which 43 new book sponsorships were celebrated. This occasion was organized by the Förderverein Ex Litteris Immortalitas, which is dedicated to the preservation of the impressive abbey library. Alexander Hauer, a member of the board, opened the event in representation of the president Erwin Hateseder. During his speech, Hauer emphasized the connecting power of this initiative: "Intellectual, spiritual, personally. Abbot Georg Wilfinger, the landlord, thanked the book sponsor and was optimistic that the broad support would help to preserve the Melk Abbey as a World Heritage Site for future generations.

The Förderverein Ex Litteris Immortalitas bears the name of a significant inscription to admission to the Melk Abbey Library. The aim of this association is to support an extensive restoration project that will run until 2032.
