Korneuburg educational mile: Young people discover career opportunities on site

d IESE WEET took place, in which 23 regional companies participated in order to give young people an insight into different professional fields. The aim of the event is to inform young people about the available apprenticeships and offer them the opportunity to discover their own interests and skills.

A total of between 200 and 300 people visited the educational mile and learned more about the professions and opportunities near them. "We want to make the companies more visible so that the young people recognize what options are offered here," said a representative of the wooden wholesaler. This was supported by numerous other local representatives, including Mayor Andrea Völkl and AMS-Korneuburg director Jutta Mattersberger, who emphasized the importance of good training positions.

an important instrument for career orientation

In its eleventh edition, the Korneuburg educational mile offers a platform for the exchange between young people and companies. This interaction is crucial, because many young people face the challenge of having to choose their next educational path. It is an important decision that can determine your future professional career.

The support of institutions such as the Chamber of Labor and the Labor Market Service plays a central role in providing the young people the necessary information. Another concern of the event is to close the gap between the needs of the economy and the training offers. The regions need qualified staff and the educational institutions are required to show the corresponding paths.

The lively participation in the educational mile shows that interest in practical professional experiences and personal discussions is great. The young people have the opportunity to speak directly to the responsible persons of the companies and to learn more about their expectations and the forms of training.

"The opportunities that arise here are invaluable for young people," said WKNÖ Vice President Christian Moser. This underlines the importance of the educational mile as a link between schools and the economy. Due to the personal speech and direct exchange, concerns and questions can be clarified what makes it easier for young people to make a well -founded decision for their future.

This educational initiative helps to make young people from Korneuburg and the surrounding area faster and informed decisions regarding their professional career. For more information about the educational mile and the options offered, further resources are available on www.noen.at can be read.
