The author Silvia Pistotnig is read from her latest novel “The Landlords”, in which she tells the lives of three women over several generations. The story takes place in an inn in the country and illuminates the perspectives of grandmother Johanna, mother Marianne and granddaughter Gertrud. Each of them is a unique character with special talents, which, however, often have to put back in their everyday life. Together they reflect on their lives and the social expectations that are placed on them.

Silvia Pistotnig, who saw the light of day in Carinthia in 1977, left her traces not only as an author, but also as an editor. After studying communication and political science in Vienna, she lives with her family in the capital today. "The landlords" is her fourth novel, who, together with her previous works, such as "Teresa stops" and "Tschulie", which takes readers and encourages thinking. Your work has already been awarded several awards, including the project scholarship from the federal and literature promotion of the State of Carinthia.
