New chapter at TV Eiche Horn: Advisory rooms in the regional league

After difficult times, the volleyball team of TV Eiche Horn is now optimistic about the future. The descent from the 3rd league West brought a lot of disappointment, but the players have long since dried the tears and is now creating a fresh start. After six games, they take second place in the Regionalliga Northwest and show an impressive performance.

The new trainer Christoph Richter, who took the team to the top of the team after Marcus Lentz, made a great contribution to this success. Under his leadership, together with assistant coach Dominice Steffen, the players experience a positive development. "With him and Dominice we have a strong coaching duo that gives the young players valuable experiences," said Anke Eyink, who is responsible for the athletics in the team.

Integration and development of young talents

The squad of the TV Eiche Horn consists of 14 players who represent a balanced mix of youth and experience. Eyink, which is active in the Ü37 class, emphasizes the importance of integrating young players into the team structure. "It is crucial that you can quickly grow at the level of the regional league," explains Eyink. The return of Sandra Zepelin from the baby break and the new entry by Hannah Laukötter additionally strengthen the team.

The motivation in the team is high: "It just feels good to play successfully again," explains Eyink. The team stabilized after only one defeat that came about in the local derby against the Oldenburg TB. The team started strong in this game, but subsided at the crucial moment. "We were no longer concentrated enough and gave the game out of our hands," says Eyink about the lost points.

In the other matches, however, the players demonstrated their dominance, even if the narrow victory against SC Union Emlichheim III required additional use. "The promotion to the third division remains our goal and we are optimistic that we can do this this or the next season," added Eyink.

strengthening the team spirit

Anke Eyink emphasizes the extraordinary team spirit of the players, who enables TV Eiche Horn to survive difficult phases. This cohesion on and off the field is an important asset for the team. Her daughter July, who successfully plays as a foreign attacker, is part of this strong community and brings additional dynamics into play.

With a well -positioned squad, the team also largely overcome the challenges of the previous year, shaped by injuries and departures. "If we are spared this season of injuries, a place among the top three is even more possible," Eyink is certain and promises that the team wants to develop further to build on old successes again.

The impression that the descent had negative effects on the self -confidence of the players is revealed by Eyink. "We want to regain our trust through concentrated performance," said Eyink. However, the start of the season shows that the Horner players are determined to actively address the challenges and to improve steadily.
