At the presentation of Vahid Khadem-Missagh, the artistic director of the festival, it became clear in the Eroica Hall of the Vienna Theater Museum: "Chamber music is the most beautiful language between earth and heaven". The focus this year is on the topic of "temperamenti", which addresses the emotional range of music. The diverse music enjoyment is offered with over 50 concerts at 25 venues, mainly in the Waldviertel.

diverse program

Starting with the opening concert on August 1st in the baroque library of Altenburg Abbey, works by talented composers are performed. Among them are the "Hungarian dances" by Johannes Brahms and Bartók's "Divertimento for String Orchestra". Particularly noteworthy is the guest performance of the Roma Ensemble Sarközy Collective and performances by Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra from Budapest. The pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja will come with a special concert on the occasion of Dmitri Schostakovich's 50th anniversary of death.

The festival preserves traditional heritage while it also presents innovative sounds. This year, special attention is also paid to the Motherland of Hungary, which embodies the European musical influences powerfully. Numerous young international talents are expected at the summer academy, where you have the chance to stand on a stage. So visitors are facing a summer full of cultural experiences that they should not miss. As indicated in the report by noe.orf.at, the Academia Allegro Vivo also offers a musical "spring round" that gives an exciting view of the upcoming festival.
