B&B Hotels is planning a new house in Hofheim: a profit for the region

In Hofheim, the Hotelkette B&B Hotels has taken an important step to implement a new hotel project on the site of the former Polar machine factory. On November 28, 2024, Günter Horn, the investor, and representatives of the hotel chain signed a declaration of intent in the offices of the project company Horn in Kelkheim. This is a significant progress for urban development and the planned construction area that is located on Hattersheimer Strasse.

The hotel will be built on the western edge of the new building area, surrounded by brick houses and in the immediate vicinity of the railway line. In the original planning, the area was intended for a commercial building, but the city has now decided to prefer a hotel. This reflects the repeated wishes of the Hofheimers to establish a hotel in the city center, which also made the considerations for a hotel building on the old library premises.

design and features of the hotel

planned is a five -story building with a modern flat roof, which is supposed to stand out due to its natural stone facade. The ground floor will house restaurants and breakfast rooms that are positioned closer to the street, according to visualizations. In addition, a beer garden will be adjacent to the public park, which benefits the quality of stay and offers an attractive outdoor area for the guests.

A new street will run between the hotel and the surrounding houses and form the main access road of the entire residential area. The advantageous arrangement of the hotel was particularly emphasized, which offers both a good transport connection as well as a central location to the city center of Hofheim and the train station. Patrick März, Managing Director of the Project Society Horn, emphasized that the hotel should not represent a low-budget option, but rather relies on a good price-performance ratio.

The pricing is also important: guests can expect room prices of around 80 euros for a double room, while families can stay overnight for around 100 euros. This is relatively attractive compared to other hotels in the region. The B&B Hotel is to be built by the project company Horn and then rented to the chain, although it is currently still unclear when the construction work can begin, because this depends on the moving plans from Polar.

Future view and political support

B&B Hotels was founded in France in 1990 and now runs over 850 hotels in Europe, Brazil and the USA. The German subsidiary is on growth course; Numerous new hotels are to be opened by 2030, including one in Hofheim. The project is perceived positively in political circles: Mayor Christian Vogt and first city councilor Daniel Philipp see an enrichment for the city in the new hotel, as it is advantageous for both tourists and business travelers.

Although there is currently no binding schedule for construction, politics is optimistic about the plans. The development plan for the entire neighborhood was recently approved, which creates confidence in the development of the area. The population and the region's business people can be excited to see how the project will develop. Further information on this project can be found on www.fnp.de .
