Municipalities in Tulln receive award as a 'crisis -proof community'
As part of the "Crisis -proof community" initiative, the first communities in Tulln were recently awarded for their exemplary work in coping with crisis. This award will be awarded to municipalities that contribute to ensuring the security of their citizens through their forward -looking planning, crisis management strategies and their close cooperation with the Lower Austria Civil Protection Association.
The importance of this initiative was emphasized by LH deputy Stephan Pernkopf, who emphasized at the ceremonial handover of the certificate that well-prepared communities can act quickly and effectively to minimize and save life. State Councilor Christoph Luisser also emphasized the importance of prevention and congratulated everyone involved on their commitment.
The "Crisis -proof community" initiative was launched by the Lower Austrian Civil Protection Association to support municipalities in the provision and coping with crisis situations. The certified communities have a demanding path behind them, which includes the creation of a comprehensive crisis and disaster plan, regular training for community employees and the implementation of exercises on disaster prevention.
The first 19 certified communities were announced at the event in Tulln and have reached between 3 and 5 stars. This star evaluation shows how far the municipalities implement the various security standards. The certified communities are Amstetten, Biberbach, Eschenau, Gänserndorf, Gmünd, Haringsee, Hofstetten Grünau, Krems an der Donau, Krummnussbaum, Leiben, Melk, Moorbad-Harbach, Orth an der Donau, Rastfeld, Sankt Leonhard am Hornerwald, Viehdorf, Waidhofen an der Ybbs, Weiden and Ybbsitz.
The award as a "crisis -proof community" is not only recognition for the previous work, but also a motivation for the communities to continuously improve their security measures. The Lower Austria Civil Protection Association is still available to the municipalities and supports them in implementing their plans.
