Austria's young talents shine at the ITF home tournament in Maria Lanzendorf

The ITF homeland tournament in Maria Lanzendorf has given the red-white-red young players extremely gratifying. Particularly noteworthy is the young protagonist Florian Zimmer, who secured the first victory of his career in singles, and the successful double team Jan Hemetzberger and Gabriel Niedermayr, who was able to register again in the winning lists.

After a weaker performance at the ITF-J100 tournament in the first week, the Austrian tennis youth team was able to cut off much better at the previous ITF-J30 event. The girls of the Austrian teams also showed improvements: Johanna Andrea Corciova and Lea Haider-Maurer reached the quarter-finals in singles. Haider-Maurer competed in doubles with Valentina Hoschek, and the duo reached the final. There, however, they had to give up the two set players Emilia Milash from Russia and Flora Rablanska from Slovakia 5: 7, 1: 6.
