Josef Fritzl: Lonely in normal execution - Christmas behind bars!

The Josef Fritzl case remains a dark chapter in Austrian crime history. The 89-year-old, who kept and abused his daughter for over 24 years in a soundproof cellar in Amstetten, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2009. The indictment of serious crimes such as murder by refraining from failure, rape and deprivation of freedom. Despite these terrible acts, a court now finds that Fritzl is no longer considered dangerous and can therefore be transferred to the normal execution, such as ZDF reported.

Recently, the court allowed him to go into a normal execution under conditions. Fritzl has served his punishment for 15 years. His lawyer, Astrid Wagner, was pleased with the decision and described her as a "great participation". In the future, however, Fritzl must continue to demonstrate therapeutic treatments in order to be able to remain in the normal execution. The elderly now lives in a single cell, where he is deadly on the part of his crimes and at least temporarily capsized from the outside world. His lawyer helped him with a grant of 150 euros to his prisoner account so that he can buy his treats. This shows that even the smallest joys play an important role for the convicted criminal while he lives in loneliness and deals with his memories.
