First Advent: St. Georgner Christkindlmarkt enchanted with tradition

The first Sunday of Advent is always a special event in St. Georg, and this year, on December 1, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Georgsaal is transformed into a festive Christkindlmarkt. Visitors can marvel at the diverse offers of the local craftsmen and feast through the culinary delights that are prepared by our local associations.

The offer ranges from a hobby and handicraft exhibition to warming drinks that are perfect for the cold season. The tower players, which create a contemplative atmosphere with festive sounds, ensure musical accompaniment. The family fair is a real highlight at 10 a.m. in the church, where prayer and sang together.

Special attractions for the whole family

An exciting children's program is offered for the little guests. Here the children can become creative in the wood workshop and lend a hand themselves. There are also freshly prepared farmer's donuts that simply taste delicious. Christmas trees can also be purchased as part of the market. The students of the first and fourth grade of the Musikmittelschule Blindenmarkt will ensure a festive atmosphere with their performances. The stalls of the St. Georgner clubs also open on this evening to give visitors a first taste of the Christmas treats and craftsmanship.
