Moosdorf on the move: Citizens strengthen the local council with new ideas!

Exciting developments in Enzersfeld: At the inaugural local council meeting, Friedrich Vinzenz from the ÖVP was re-elected as local leader with an impressive 16 out of 17 votes. This harmonious meeting, which attracted wide public interest, took place after the ÖVP lost its absolute majority in the last local council election. The SPÖ, which has come within four votes of the ÖVP, is now relying on cooperation. The FPÖ has also taken its place in the local council, like the NÖN reported.

In Moosdorf, another political center, there is an encouraging trend: more and more citizens are flocking to local council meetings to actively participate in decision-making. The community board has already assigned important tasks before the next meeting. These will be discussed in advance of the meeting to ensure a well-founded basis for decision-making. The focus is on keeping all groups well informed in order to promote harmonious voting behavior. This transparency has already led to numerous unanimous decisions, such as Team Moosdorf reported.

Active citizen participation and information policy

The SPÖ in Moosdorf actively pursues the goal of informing citizens about upcoming decisions at an early stage. Our mayor, Manfred Emersberger, has created a new opportunity for party leaders to discuss upcoming issues. The aim of this information policy is to enable extensive opinion formation within the parliamentary groups so that voices from outside can also be heard. After the meetings, citizens are allowed to speak to ask questions and better understand decisions. This step promotes democracy and the trust of the population, which is showing more and more interest in local political issues.
