Luxury hotels conquer Croatia: billion dollar investments for the coast!
Croatia faces a significant investment thrust in the hotel sector, which comprises over one billion euros in the period of two years. This development is largely promoted by large international hotel chains such as Hyatt, Marriott, Accor and Hilton, who want to expand their presence in the region. The aim of these investments is to open new hotels that are also open outside of the high season in order to exploit the tourist potential of Croatia all year round. Kosmo reports, for example, a Heritage & Resort Hotel Monumenti, which combines historical with modern architecture.

Hyatt is also planning to open a five-star hotel with the Hyatt Regency Zadar in the former Maraska factory. Numerous bookings, mostly from international guests, have already been received here, as hotel director Valentin Röttger reports. The hotel should also benefit the local population.

The first bookings for the Hilton Hotel start in June, with reservations until November, which reflects the continuing interest of international travelers. The proportion of hotel beds in Croatia is currently only ten percent, while over 60 percent of beds are available in hotels in other countries.
