Lift for Lukas: A lifeguard made of wood for a bright smile!

A big step for the eight -year -old Lukas: thanks to the fundraising campaign "Lift for Lukas", the boy who suffered a stroke at the age of only three years is installed an urgently needed outside lift. This will make his life considerably easier, since he can now navigate independently between the floors. The initiative, which is supported on Vol.at , shows impressive commitment from the community. Crane driver Thomas from Lauterach, for example, steered his contribution without any payment and told: "I heard that the boy needs the lift, and I thought that I would like to do that."

The technical implementation of the project is in the hands of Dominik Stramitzer, Managing Director of Lot-Holzbau. He explains that the construction is made of solid wood and is equipped with fire protection cladding. With a weight of about 2.8 tons, the lift will probably be ready for use in one and a half months. Stramitzer is enthusiastic about the wave of solidarity: "It is great to see how quickly the fundraising campaign has had an effect and how many people help," he emphasizes. It continues to work until the completion, supported by numerous volunteers in the region.

for Lukas ’mother, Melanie, the lift means a great relief in everyday life. "Now Lukas can finally switch between the floors alone and is no longer dependent on me," she says relieved. Her son Tobias is also enthusiastic: "I think it's cool that my brother gets a lift, and of course I also want to ride with me," he adds grinning. The positive mood in the house is noticeable and the family is looking forward to the day when the lift is finally put into operation. "Then everything will change - and that is just wonderful," says Melanie. This initiative is an urgent example of how communal efforts can change life.
