On April 27, 2025, the 1st Volksbank KLV Talent Cup 2025 took place in the Leopold Wagner Arena in Klagenfurt, which included the Carinthian long relay championships in the 3x800m female and 3x1000m male events. The event attracted large spectators and offered exciting competitions.
The athletes from Klagenfurt LC (KLC) showed special achievements. The KLC U18 women's team secured the championship title in the 3x800m discipline with an outstanding time of 7:43.57 minutes. The successful runners are Mersi Kifle Bekuretsion, Lilli Sagerschnig and Ina Slamanig. The male competition was also impressive: the KLC team won the title in the 3x1000m with a time of 8:04.66 minutes, set by Michael Moritz, Matteo Ragonese and Simon Schretter.

The relay races also offered exciting competitions in other categories. In the U16 female category, the athletes from LC Villach prevailed, with the team consisting of Helena Prodnik, Lena Zotter and Amelie Tiffner winning. The LC Villach team was also successful in the U20 female category, consisting of Alissa Liebhard, Carina Saringer and Julia Susiti. In the general class, the KLC athletes Emilia GernGroß, Elisabeth Golger and Maja Kropiunik secured the championship title.
The event was considered a great success by the organizers and the athletes' achievements were highlighted. The competition contributed to promoting young talent in athletics in Carinthia.
