SCR Altach slips into the last place after defeat against WAC

On Sunday, the SCR Altach had to take a 0-2 defeat against the WAC in the 14th round of the Admiral Bundesliga, which they threw back to the last place in the table. The Vorarlbergers are now three points behind the GAK, who won his game against BW Linz 2-1. This means a painful setback for Altach, which has been without victory for eleven laps.

In the first half, the home side dominated the difficult lawn of the Lavanttal Arena. Altach's goalkeeper Dejan Stojanovic had to demonstrate his skills right from the start and parried a shot from Adis Jasic. Stojanovic was also able to ward off a header from Simon Piesinger in the 29th minute. Despite several opportunities and attempts, such as Piesinger's header, who went over the goal, Altach could not score a goal in the first half.

key points of the game

After the half -time break, Maximilian Ullmann bought the attention with one shot, but narrowly missed. Altach seemed better to find into the game, but the clear chances failed. Lukas Fridrikas shot in the 60th minute from an acute angle and clearly missed the gate. An attempt by Oliver Strunz was initially only kept careless by WAC goalkeeper Nikolas Upholster.

The first goal went to Emmanuel Agyemang's account, which was successful in the 77th minute after playing out excellently by Thomas Sabitzer and Erik Kojzek. In the meantime, Altach had the opportunity to compensate for Lukas Fadinger, whose shot hit the outer rod. Whether the ball was involved remains questionable because the referee assistant showed offside. But only three minutes later the WAC finally decided the game when Kojzek met 2-0 after a presentation of Agyemang.

The Wolfsberger experienced their first victory after three games without a threesome and thus consolidated their place in the upper half of the table, while Altach continues to be looking for a success. Details of this encounter can also be found here .
