The damaged device quickly set fire, and the flames spread rapidly on nearby plastic objects and boxes, including a part of a double bed.

The situation could have been more dangerous because at that time the boy's 39-year-old mother was in the house. It became aware of the sound of the fire and reacted immediately. Fortunately, the son was able to save himself in time while the mother tried to extinguish the fire with water. However, her efforts were unsuccessful, so that she also left the house to get to safety.

The alarmed fire brigade quickly moved out to the use. Thanks to their rapid reaction, the emergency services managed to quickly delete the flames in the affected room. The firefighters used a loft to combat smoke development. A total of 55 firefighters from the volunteer fire brigades Spittal/Drau, Baldramsdorf and Lendorf were deployed. This cooperation has certainly contributed to preventing worse things despite the dangerous location.

A happy fact was that both the mother and her son remained unharmed in the incident. Both were examined by the rescue on site, which fortunately did not result in any injuries. This shows how important fast and determined action is in such emergencies.
