Economic Association of Gastronomy: New leadership for the election 2025
in Upper Austria, especially in the areas of Linz, Ansfelden, Hörsching, Feldkirchen and Schörfling, there are significant changes in the catering industry. In the upcoming Chamber of Commerce in 2025, which will take place from March 10th to 13th, a new leadership will compete in the business volume list. The new triumvirate consists of Gerold Royda, Karl Wögerer and Andrea Hammerle. These three take on the responsibility of Thomas Mayr-Stockinger, who for the first time starts with his own, party-independent list.
Gerold Royda, known as the managing director of the Linimayr inn and the "Airotel" in Hörsching, will primarily take care of training and teaching. His colleagues also bring specific goals: Karl Wögerer, the village host and operator of a bakery and tobacco company in Feldkirchen, plans to focus on host cooperation. Andrea Hammerle, who recently took over the "Zenz’n Stub’n" restaurant in Schörfling, is committed to the compatibility of family and work in the catering trade
Focus of the new leadership
In the coming months, the three guides want to work together on reforms that are primarily intended to serve de -bureaucratization. According to Wögerer, bureaucracy is a significant burden, especially for smaller catering companies. "Under no circumstances should it be," he demands. In addition, he comments critically on prescribed designations of origin, which in his opinion would mean additional administrative effort.
A central concern of Andrea Hammerle is to improve the framework conditions for young people and families in the industry. As a mother, she emphasizes the need to expand the care options for children in particular at outskirts and on weekends. She sees this a way to make it easier for women to get started with entrepreneurship, with the focus also on increased start -up consultations. "A takeover offers many advantages, such as the existing staff or the existing premises," explains Hammerle.
Thomas Mayr-Stockinger's new strategy
In the middle of these restructuring, Thomas Mayr-Stockinger, who worked for around 6,000 catering businesses in Upper Austria for more than ten years, announces his own independence initiative. "I want to be a powerful, apolitical voice for small, family -run traditional companies," he says on social media. This marks a significant step in his political career, while the new leaders concretize their visions and want to redesign the future of catering in Upper Austria.
These developments are particularly important because they not only directly influence the interests of the catering businesses, but also redefine the framework conditions for everyone involved in the sector. More details on this topic can be found in a detailed report on www.tips.at .
