Bronze hero Elias Simbürger dominates Styrian championships in Feldkirchen

Elias Simbürger, a talented 20-year-old sports soldier from the Barbell Tribe Graz association, performed outstanding at the Styrian championships in Feldkirchen. The young athlete, who competed in the 96 kg class, recently secured an impressive third place in the junior European Championships in Raszyn, Poland. These successes were no coincidence, because the championships in Feldkirchen offered him the platform to prove his skills.

At the championship, Simbürger lifted sensational 150 kg in tearing, which represents a personal record for him. In pushing he did another remarkable performance when he first mastered 187 kg. Overall, he achieved a total output of 330 kg and 337 kg in a duel, which, however, could not be officially recognized as an Austrian record for the U20 and U23 classes due to the lack of a triple arbitration court.

With a total number of points of 401.88 Sinclair Points, Elias Simbürger was the undisputed best lifter in the competition. He exceeded his next, Marco Moser from the same club, who achieved 296.75 points. For women, the best performance of Anna Prattes, also from the Barbell Tribe Graz, was recorded with 195.89 points; She secured first place in front of Birgit Reitbauer (AV Graz), who scored 144.97 points.
