A special musical evening is coming up in the tranquil community of Feldkirchen-Ossiacher See. On Friday, November 8th, 2024, the Lions Club invites you to a benefit concert under the title “Glanzstücken – from Baroque to Jazz” in the parish church “Maria im Dorn”. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and promises a truly exciting musical journey.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the “Mobile Youth Work MyLife” in Feldkirchen, an important project that takes care of the needs of young people. With very special sounds from four internationally recognized musicians, the audience is transported into a world of exquisite masterpieces ranging from baroque to jazz. The talented oboist Claudia Kefer-Grindlhumer, the flautist Rudi Grindlhumer, the organist and conductor Klaus Kuchling as well as the saxophonist and composer Edgar “Ed” Unterkirchner will provide the evening’s music. Under the direction of this great ensemble, there will also be a premiere of a piece by Unterkirchner, which takes up elements of a well-known Carinthian song.
An unforgettable concert evening
After the concert, everyone in attendance is cordially invited to attend a reception in the parish hall. Mayor Martin Treffner will also be present to welcome the guests. In addition, the well-known artist Franz Johann Kraushofer will present his new caricature calendar for 2025 and present original sheets from the past ten years. This offers a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and network about the local art scene.
