Households affected by the September 2024 flood have until June 30, 2025 to apply for financial support of up to 3,500 euros. This was announced today, May 26, 2025. The support is provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs and is intended for owners of primary residences affected by the flooding. The financial help can, for example, be used for alternative accommodation, such as rental apartments or stays in hotels and guesthouses.
In addition, those affected can apply for a flat rate of 2,200 euros for renovations to their main residence, which can be used in particular for drying or screeding work.
