What is particularly noticeable is the increasing number of families taking advantage of the advance booking offer. Parents are reacting to the constantly rising prices of the cable car operators and using the opportunity to make their family sports fun budget-friendly. According to Boric, over 10,000 free season tickets were given out to children up to the age of six, which underlines the success of this initiative. This measure, in place since 2020, allows families to pay only the eldest child, while additional children can ride for free. This has a positive effect on the popularity of the ski resorts and makes family holidays in the mountains more accessible.
Pleasing figures and high acceptance
The free season tickets issued have an estimated value of around four million euros, which shows the massive acceptance of the offer. Boric is pleased about the positive response and calls the statistical successes a boost for the entire region. “The offer has been very well received, which makes us very happy,” he explains, emphasizing that the measure not only increases the number of young skiers, but also helps to promote skiing. Students and teachers also benefit from the offer, which is available in various sales outlets, such as the Messepark and BTV branches.
