FPÖ demands Nehammer to resign: We need a breath of fresh air!
After the surprising withdrawal of the NEOS from the government negotiations between the ÖVP and SPÖ, the anger of the FPÖ is primarily directed against Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer. FPÖ chairman Herbert Kickl described the NEOS's step as the "barrel that was finally overflowed". For months, the FPÖ had warned of the "political abuse" and the failure of the previous coalition. In a post on Facebook, Kickl criticized that Nehammer did not accept the loss of election on September 29 and demanded his immediate resignation. The Federal President, Alexander Van der Bellen, is also seen as part of the problem, as Kickl noted.
voices from the federal states
The demands for Nehammer's resignation not only came from Kickl. Udo Landbauer, the FPÖ boss from Lower Austria, said that Nehammer Austria had "kept a fool" for over three months. The negative economic development and the closures of numerous companies are alarming signs that required the government's immediate ability to act. One wants a government that "finally works for citizens". Manfred Haimbuchner, the FPÖ boss in Upper Austria, criticized that the decisions of the Federal President played important time. Tirol's FPÖ boss Markus Abwerzger expressed that the ÖVP was now on the train to move Nehammer to resign.
The ÖVP, on the other hand, is blame for the SPÖ to fail. ÖVP General Secretary Christian Stocker said that the withdrawal of the NEOS was due to the behavior of backward powers within the SPÖ. He spoke of an "absurd" perception of the SPÖ federal tip, which wanted to blame for failure on the Neos. SPÖ federal managing director Klaus RAUSHEIM rejected the allegations and criticized that the NEOs were not willing to take responsibility for Austria. In the meantime, Hans Peter Doskozil, the Burgenland Governor, is now planning an expert government because he does not see a government order for the SPÖ due to the poor election results.
The Greens also demanded that after the events that all parties have to comment transparently on the failed negotiations. Vice -Chancellor Werner Kogler confirmed that the entire participation urgently owe answers and accused them of having nothing to do for months. It remains exciting how the political forces will continue to position themselves in Austria. All of this happens against the background that the FPÖ calls for a return to stable conditions, while the ÖVP and SPÖ do the black Peter.More details about the background of the negotiations and the current reactions are on oe24.at and krone.at
