Carnival in Kühnsdorf: A colorful move inspires thousands!

On Mardi Gras, the citizens of Herzogenburg and Kühnsdorf again experienced a colorful spectacle that revived the good old tradition of carnival. A large carnival parade started at 1:13 p.m. in Herzogenburg, in which 36 groups took part. The participants moved over St. Pöltner Straße to the Rathausplatz and back, where they were received expectantly by an impressive amount. This lively parade was supported by a variety of clubs and private individuals who celebrated the fun and joy of the carnival together, as Noen.at reported.

In Kühnsdorf,

at the same time there was a masking parade, which was set up after a break of over 25 years. The committed organizer Sigibert Oparjan mobilized numerous groups, schools and local companies. Led by Princess Elisabeth Cesar and Prince Marvin Prikenschnig, a colorful parade of 30 fool groups ceremoniously pulled through the town. Hundreds of spectators lined the streets and celebrated the impressive performances. A specialist jury under the direction of Mayor Wolfgang Stefitz chose the best groups and rewarded their creative use with small awards. The event, which was moderated by Herbert Debriacher, also offered numerous delicacies for the small participants, sponsored by Raiffeisenbank Eberndorf and other supporters, such as meindezirk.at reported.

Both carnival parades not only show the colors and joie de vivre of this festival tradition, but also reaffirm the desire for a repetition in the coming year. The initiators and spectators agree: after the carnival is before the carnival!
