on April 20, 2025, during Easter Sunday, there was a serious accident on the A9 Pyhrnautobahn in the Bosruck tunnel, Spital municipality on Pyhrn. The incident occurred around 5:10 p.m. and involved a 28-year-old Somali citizen from Graz and two compatriots aged 33 and 35. Information from 5min.at report that the 28-year-old's vehicle first touched the curb. After he steered to the left and touched the curb there, the vehicle hurled to the right, crashed into the tunnel wall and tipped onto the roof. It then slipped about 235 meters across the road.
The injured were immediately medical care. The 35-year-old and the 33-year-old suffered serious injuries and were flown to the University Hospital Graz and the Linz accident hospital. The 28-year-old, on the other hand, only suffered minor injuries and was brought to the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen Clinic Kirchdorf.
