On Friday, June 27, 2025, the fire brigade was alerted around 7:32 p.m. due to several emergency calls via a burning vehicle on the federal highway 7. The cooperative regional control center West in Elmshorn gave the operational keyword "Feu G" (fire larger than standard), which was later increased to "Feu 2" (fire, two fire trucks).
