On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Cineplexx cinemagoers all over Austria can expect a special experience: Cineplexx Day. On this day, all visitors can enjoy current films for just 5 euros. For holders of the xXtra Card, the price is even reduced to 4 euros. This applies to all seating categories and makes going to the cinema attractive for every budget. Special prices of 10 euros for IMAX performances and 9 euros for MX4D performances complement the offer. The aim of this campaign is to create a cinema experience for all age groups, as Florian Vorraber, Head of Marketing at Cineplexx, explains.
The film program on Cineplexx Day offers a varied selection. Cinema fans can look forward to blockbusters such as “Tron: Ares”, the animated action “All Full of Monsters”, the child-friendly underwater adventure “Dora: Magical Mermaid Adventures” and the Austrian comedy “Neo Nuggets – A Pulled Pork Comedy”. This variety ensures that there is something for every taste.
Special features and snacks
In addition to the film events, Cineplexx will offer a variety of snacks on the day. Moviegoers can look forward to traditional popcorn, nachos and a vegan nacho sauce, as well as chocolate, gummy bears and drinks. The combination of films and snacks creates an optimal cinema ambience. For xXtra Card Members there is also a discount of 1 euro per ticket, which makes the pricing even more attractive. Registering for the xXtra Card is free and only takes two minutes, meaning many cinema lovers can take advantage of the offers.
Another highlight that takes place at the same time as Cineplexx Day is International Nacho Day, which further enriches the selection of snack options. It is expected that the combination of great movies and various snacks will result in an unforgettable experience.
More benefits
In parallel to the Cineplexx offers, Erste Bank and the savings banks have launched a discount campaign for cinema visits in selected Hollywood Megaplex cinemas from Thursday to Sunday. There, visitors receive a 20% discount on ticket prices, including for special formats such as 3D, 4DX and IMAX. This further increases the attractiveness of going to the cinema. Cinemagoers also have the opportunity to park for free for three hours in the Gasometer upon presentation of their cinema ticket.
