Wine farms benefit from extraordinary EU FOOD AGAIN: Who gets how much?

In an unexpected turn, far more applications were submitted by wine -growing companies by mid -October than expected. Exact 869 companies will now benefit from the extraordinary immediate help from the European Union. However, the total amount is only € 1.5 million. To ensure that all those affected can be helped, the subsidy per applicant person is shortened in proportion. As a result, the companies now receive amounts between approx. 250 and 450 euros per hectare vineyard area. The payments are planned to be carried out by the AMA before the end of December 2024, with the modestly sent from mid -January. This unexpected development brings with it both positive and challenging aspects, since the funds have to be distributed to more companies, which leads to lower amounts per company. However, the support of the European Union shows the commitment that the wine -growing businesses are shown in difficult times.
