Startup Burgenland celebrates success with corporate funding program: A look behind the scenes of the dynamic start-up community

Four years ago, the startup Burgenland was launched to advance the economic development of the region. Since then, 30 startups have participated in the accelerator and incubator program. Martin Trink, head of Startup Burgenland, looked back on the variety of founders during the startup Lounge on November 13, 2024 with whom they worked.

The Startup Lounge, organized by the Burgenland business agency in the Vienna film district, celebrated the end of the fourth batch of the program. Startup Burgenland not only relies on economic growth, but also on the establishment of a community that sees innovative entrepreneurship as the key to regional economic development.

People behind the Startup Pflegeavi develop e-wallets for residents of care facilities. The software solution enables digital management of residents and ensures transparent processes. The success of the project can be seen in the fact that well -known organizations such as Caritas and the Samaritan Association are already using the services of Pflegeavi.

By participating in the accelerator program, the founders of PflegeAvi not only gained from know-how, but also found their co-founder Rainer Schuster. This shows that the program goes far beyond the purely business support and enables decisive partnerships.

The focus of the discussion was also trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI). Verena Krawarik, Head of Innovation of the APA, spoke about the importance of "Trustworthy Ai" and the upcoming regulations of the EU AI Act. She called for training in this area early to close the gaps in companies and promote technology affinity.

The startup lounge also offered space for young innovations presented as part of a startup Walk. Seven promising startups showed what they learned in the Accelerator program and presented impressive projects in front of those present from the innovation industry. The evening ended with a thanks from Martin Trink to the entire team of Startup Burgenland and a view of the Business Angel Day 2025.

The event showed that Burgenland is not only a place of the community, but also a platform for the success of startups from the region. Stakeholder were impressed by the passion and competence of young people and underlined the importance of startup Burgenland as an engine for innovative start -ups in the region.
