New ways for students: HAK/HAS Neusiedl strengthens wine training
The HAK/HAS Neusiedl am See takes an exciting turn in the training of their students. With a new exercise company and an educational offer that focuses on the wine industry, they want to promote close cooperation with the association "Neusiedlersee DAC". The aim is to optimally prepare the young people for the diverse challenges in this living industry.
Hannes Nitschinger, the director of the school, underlined the importance of this initiative: "Wine and tourism are very much in demand in our area." This statement illustrates that the future field of work for graduates is not only attractive, but also necessary. The focus should not only be on future winegrowers who may want to take over an existing company. There is also a high demand for specialists who are familiar with marketing, social media and sales.
benefit for the students
The school has already taken an important step when the practice company was founded. In this company, wines from the "Neusiedler See DAC" brand are marketed. This not only gives the students an insight into the business world, but also offers the opportunity to actively contribute to marketing. The practical approach also promotes the creativity and willingness to innovate of young people, which can be an enormous advantage for the industry.
Christoph Salzl, a winemaker from Illmitz and chairman of the association, sees the desired cooperation as a "win-win situation". At a time when the market conditions change rapidly, it is crucial that the marketing strategies keep pace with developments. "The marketing instruments are completely different today than one, two or three decades. It is great that we can combine Tradition with modernity," he explains.
The training direction of the HAK/HAS Neusiedl not only shows the relevance of the wine market in the region, but also helps to ensure that the students are ready to master the challenges of a dynamic industry. The return to a similar model that existed until 2012 should expand the target group and offer more diverse perspectives. In the constantly changing world, it is important that young people acquire the skills they need to be successful.
How this training initiative will develop remains to be seen, but the course for a strong connection between education and wine industry has already been set. In one of the most charming wine -growing regions in Austria, the HAK/HAS Neusiedl and the “Neusiedlersee DAC” association do pioneering work to form the next generation of specialists.
